11 Plus Tuition

If you're lucky enough to live near Poole in Dorset, Club 11 Plus also offers a limited number of 1-to-1 in-person 11 Plus tutoring slots with our highly-experienced tutor, Alex Gorringe. 

Alex's in-person classes are held in Parkstone, Poole, and are targeted at preparing children for any of the four Bournemouth and Poole grammar schools:

Parkstone Grammar School
Bournemouth School
Bournemouth School for Girls

The subjects Alex can cover are maths, English and verbal reasoning, as these are the three subjects required for the four Dorset grammar schools, but she will adapt this curriculum to suit your child's needs.

Alex has over 15 years' experience tutoring children for the 11 Plus test, and has also spent 10 years running an in-person tutoring centre in Poole. Alex has an enhanced DBS certificate.

Free Access to Club 11 Plus!

When you book a weekly tuition slot with Alex, your child will automatically become enrolled in the Club 11 Plus online school for the duration of their 1-to-1 tutoring. They will be able to login to our school both during and outside of their weekly classes, either on desktop pc or via our awesome app, giving them access to hundreds of lessons and quizzes to enhance their 1-to-1 tutoring journey, as well as expert advice from Alex, who will encourage them to tackle the topics she believes need the most practice.

Daily Homework

If you would like your child to have daily homework, at the end of each 1-to-1 tutoring session, Alex will set specific lessons and quizzes from the Club 11 Plus school for your child to complete over the coming week. Homework will be chosen carefully to suit your child's specific learning requirements, to ensure that they concentrate on those areas that need the most practice. Your child's homework will be monitored online by Alex, so not only will she know whether you child completed it, but exactly which questions they answered correctly or incorrectly, giving her invaluable feedback when planning the following week's class.

Our Prices

We have 2 price options available:

1. £30 per hour, including unlimited access to the Club 11 Plus online school.

2. £40 per hour, including unlimited access to the Club 11 Plus online school, plus daily homework set and monitored by Alex.
