Between us, we have a wealth of 11 Plus tutoring experience, as well as skills in online course design, and an impressive knowledge of all the subjects included in the 11 Plus test. Put simply, not only are we experts, we are the very epitome of 11 Plus geeks!

11 Plus Assessments
While grammar schools can pick whatever 11 Plus test they want to use, these days most choose to use the GL assessments, so we've chosen to base our lessons and quizzes on the GL curriculum. Our team of Club 11 Plus boffins and geeks have analysed all the most up to date GL assessment material and have designed our programme so that every topic is covered in the lessons, and then practised repeatedly in the quizzes. If you child is going to be taking a test that isn't based on the GL assessments, you can rest assured that the Club 11 Plus programme will still be incredibly useful preparation. If you're not sure what style of test your child will be taking, have a look at the website for their chosen school, which should give full details of the subjects tested and the examination board they've chosen to use.

11 Plus Test Format
All our quizzes have been created with a multiple choice format, just like the GL 11 Plus tests, so your child will get plenty of practice answering questions that are virtually identical to the real thing. Our team of boffins has made sure that our mountain of quiz questions, which grows bigger by the day, covers every type of Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning or Non-Verbal Reasoning question that has ever been set in a GL paper, so your child will be fully prepared to do their very best on test day.

Do We Cover?
Club 11 Plus has been running for many years in the Bournemouth and Poole area, on the beautiful south coast of England, coaching hundreds of children through their 11 Plus tests, helping them gain places at our four excellent local grammar schools.
The grammar schools in Bournemouth and Poole only require children to sit tests in Maths, English and Verbal Reasoning, so initially our lessons and quizzes only covered the topics needed for those three subjects. But our Club 11 Plus admin team kept telling us about the emails they were getting from parents in other areas, wanting us to expand our programme to include Non-Verbal Reasoning as well - and your wish was our command! Our team of Club 11 Plus boffins and geeks have now added an impressive array of Non-Verbal Reasoning lessons and quizzes, covering every type of Non-Verbal Reasoning question your child could come across in any GL-style 11 Plus test.

11 Plus Maths
The GL 11 Plus Maths test consists almost entirely of word problems, covering a wide variety of topics, most of which your child will have covered in school by the end of Year 5, but some of which, such as algebra, or conversion of squared units, may well be new to them. At Club 11 Plus, we have divided the topics into 23 separate Modules, each of which consists of a series of lessons and subject quizzes, full of word problems just like the ones in the real test. We then provide a series of mixed quizzes, so your child will be fully prepared when it comes to test day.
11 Plus English
The GL-style 11 Plus English test consists of a comprehension, followed by a spelling test, a punctuation test, and a test where children have to fill in blanks with the correct word or words, which tests their use of language. At Club 11 Plus, we have plenty of bitesize, short and full-length comprehensions, as well as four Modules, each consisting of multiple lessons and quizzes, and which cover all the relevant aspects of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and use of language. (For example, should we have put a comma before the "and" near the end of that last sentence? Many people think you shouldn't, but actually, it's entirely optional - it's called the Oxford comma, and we quite like it!)
11 Plus Verbal Reasoning
The GL 11 Plus Verbal Reasoning test consists of questions involving words, letters, numbers and codes, in a wonderful combination that our boffins at Club 11 Plus never tire of, but which can be a bit overwhelming for a child who hasn't come across anything like them before! Our geeks have analysed all the GL practice papers and come up with 20 different question types, a selection of which come up in each paper. We have created 20 Modules, one for each question type, and each with a series of lessons, along with plenty of quizzes, where your children will have fun cracking codes, spotting number sequences, finding hidden words, and solving all sorts of weird and wonderful word and number puzzles. Verbal Reasoning is an area where practice can make a massive difference to a child's speed and accuracy, and we're happy to offer them all the practice they'll ever need!
11 Plus Non-Verbal Reasoning
The GL 11 Plus Non-Verbal Reasoning test consists of questions involving codes, shapes, patterns and sequences. Our boffins have analysed all the GL practice papers and come up with all the possible question types, a selection of which come up in each paper. It's highly likely that your child has never come across questions like these before, so getting plenty of practice in advance of their 11 Plus test is vital if they're going to fulfil their potential on the day. Our Non-Verbal Reasoning modules will give your child all the practice they'll need to ensure that they're fully prepared!
